95th annual Ramsey County Fair opens today

Flashing lights, carnival music and the wafting scent of fried food will tickle the senses of those attending tonight's opening of the 95th annual Ramsey County Fair. The fair opens at 5 p.m. today and runs through Sunday at the Ramsey County Fairgrounds in Maplewood. Highlights include 4-H exhibitions, daily Texas Hold 'Em tournaments, dog-herding trials, "Bingo & Beer," a climbing wall, water-balloon wars and midway rides. A parade is scheduled for tonight, fireworks Friday and a rose show Saturday. Each night will feature live music.
