The last scheduled meeting of the Copeland council began in a study of dysfunction - the cablecasting equipment sputtered to a complete stop during the discussion of the majority's proposed ordinance to require cablecasting all meetings.
By the end of the meeting, the cable equipment worked flawlessly to transmit the rejection of Copeland's attempt to dismantle the planning staff. Councilpersons Juenemann and Rossbach led the adoption of Public Works Director Chuck Ahl's suggestion that the budget be passed with direction to all department heads to reduce the expenditure side sufficiently to retain all current city employees. The final vote was unanimous.
