And then there was one

On Monday, January 26 2009, the Maplewood City Council directed staff to enter City Manager contract negotiations with Jim Antonen. The Pioneer Press report suggests Mr. Antonen is amenable to the idea:

Antonen could begin working as city manager as early as March. He hopes to start sooner rather than later, he said. He could make $120,000 to $135,000, according to officials.

"Through the whole process, I really liked the people I met and I felt really comfortable," said Antonen, 61. "I have a really good feeling about Maplewood and the position."
